OCEAN

Mother Earth's womb,
her fecund, saline waters,
here, we stirred to life;
from her songs of past
and future joys, our life
blood sprang forth.

Tales of Time she told
wove our primordial hearts
beating in unison with hers,
echoing the voices of
distant stars, the very
sounds of the Universe's
infant wails.

Her joyful reminiscences
of worlds past conceived
our souls, by her dreams of
the Infinite rendered buoyant,
volant, ever seeking the
etheric path Home.

Myriad sorrows birthed
our forms, these fragile
frames her sobs and sighs
contrived, her filial longing
wrought our senses,
vestiges of her anguish,
our mortal suffering.

Thence we emerged,
cast adrift into turmoil,
now bereft of Mother's
doctrine. Thither do
we journey, yearning for
her arms to rock us into
eternal slumber.
